SaskTel Center Announces First Ever Drive-In Country Music Concert with Canadian Country Star Brett Kissel, in Support of Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre

Saskatoon, SK – SaskTel Centre is proud to announce ‘Party in the Parking Lot featuring Brett Kissel’ on Saturday, June 27, 2020. The show will take place in the SaskTel Centre parking lot, on the SaskTel Stage at 7:00pm.

“We are thrilled to welcome Brett Kissel to SaskTel Centre for the Party in the Parking Lot,” said Scott Ford, Executive Director of SaskTel Centre. “The success of our drive-in theatre has shown us that our community is excited about unique experiences to come together. Brett Kissel’s drive-in concerts in Edmonton and Regina both sold out in record time and we are excited to bring this country star to Saskatoon.”

Vehicle passes for the show go on sale Thursday, June 18 at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster.ca. Passes for the performances are $60 for general admission parking, $100 for reserved premium parking.

Over the past few years, the country crooner has received an armful of Canadian Country Music Association Awards, (including two straight wins for Male Artist of the Year and the coveted Fans’ Choice). Kissel was the recipient of the Allan Slaight Honor from Canada’s Walk of Fame (previously presented to Drake, Shawn Mendes and The Weeknd), the Breakthrough Artist of the Year winner at the JUNO Awards, and was recognized as the International Artist of the Year at the Worldwide Radio Summit in Hollywood, California (an honor bestowed upon Ed Sheeran and Adele in the last two years respectively).

Although some artists might see these accomplishments as a cue to hit cruise control, for this proud husband and father of three, it’s only added fuel to his fire to give his audience more, and to expand his musical vision. That’s precisely what he’s done on his latest album, “Now Or Never.”

“I’m so excited to bring this drive-in concert to Saskatoon, and party in the parking lot!  We’ve proven that the appetite for live music is strong, and my fans miss concerts just as much as I do!  Which is why it feels so good to announce an epic performance in one of my favourite cities!” said Brett Kissel. “Even though we need to keep everyone apart, I know that this is still a great way to bring everyone together!”

SaskTel Centre’s announcement follows Kissel’s six sold-out drive-in shows which happened over this past weekend in his hometown of Edmonton and three sold-out shows in Regina taking place on June 20.

SaskTel Centre will be collecting donations for Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre through monetary donations at the time of ticket purchase on Ticketmaster.ca. Non-perishable food items will also be accepted on site. Fans are asked to bring any food items in a plastic bag to follow COVID guidelines.

SaskTel Centre will be continuing to follow Saskatchewan Health Authority guidelines to ensure the safety of fans, including physical distancing between vehicles.
