Regina Exhibition Association Limited to host live drive-in concert with Juno Award winning country star Brett Kissel
Regina, SK – Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL) is excited to announce ‘Saskatchewan’s Night Out with Brett Kissel’ presented by the Brandt Group of Companies on Saturday, June 20, 2020.
“We recognize people are getting antsy with staying home and for us, we’re getting antsy not being able to put on the shows we’re used to,” said Tim Reid, President and CEO of REAL. “We wanted to provide an opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy a live show all while practicing physical distancing.”
The award winning country artist will hit the Sasktel Stage at 7:00 p.m. in the Evraz Place parking lot, south of the Brandt Centre.
Tickets for the show go on sale Friday, June 12 at 10:00 a.m. via Ticketmaster (ticketmaster.ca). Admission for the performance will range from $60 – $100 per vehicle.
Brett Kissel is constantly exploring new ideas, while never forgetting what he does best. It’s an approach that has propelled him to the top of Canadian country music, with two Gold certified albums, eight Gold singles and Number 1 radio hits with “Drink About Me” and “Airwaves” to his credit. 2019 was his biggest year yet, winning the JUNO Award for Country Album of the Year and earning the Canadian Country Music Association’s Fans’ Choice Award, following a record-breaking 112-date tour that reached every single province and territory. The Canadian Press crowned him “The New King of Canadian Country.”
Although some artists might see these accomplishments as a cue to hit cruise control, for this proud husband and father of three, it’s only added fuel to his fire to give his audience more, and to expand his musical vision. That’s precisely what he’s done on his latest album, “Now Or Never.”
Today’s announcement follows Brett’s 6 sold-out drive-in shows happening over the weekend in his hometown of Edmonton.
REAL will be collecting donations for the Regina Food Bank during the show. Those attending the show are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations to drop off at the Regina Food Bank bins that will be on site that night. Monetary donations will also be accepted at the time of ticket purchase online.
REAL will be continuing to follow Saskatchewan Health Authority guidelines, as such, no food and beverage will be available on site.
